Marcia was moving from her home of 11 years to a local retirement village. She needed to find a reliable fragile packing service she could trust.
Marcia’s immediate family lived overseas but Marcia had lots of friends who were willing to help. Marcia herself was also very organised.
In addition to the usual kitchen crockery, Marcia had lots of precious fine china and glassware that required professional care and attention.
I visited Marcia at her home for a chat and to have a look at the items that she needed my help with.
A week later I spent a day at her home carefully wrapping the precious items whilst sharing stories, reminiscing over some special pieces and stopping for a cup of tea.
I visited Marcia once she had moved into her new home to help her unpack the items and arrange them in her cabinet. On leaving, Marcia mentioned that she really appreciated the emotional and practical support I provided in dealing with the huge and daunting task of moving home.
